Associate Attorney

*Associate Attorney* The law office of Ranger Copeland French has been serving Maine for over half a century.
Located in downtown Brunswick, we pride ourselves on representing our clients with integrity, professionalism, and reliability.
Our practice represents clients in many areas including family, real estate, probate matters, amongst other areas of law.
The Associate Attorney position is a full-time position based in our Brunswick, Maine office.
The successful candidate will work closely with the senior attorney to provide comprehensive legal support across a range of practice areas.

* Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
* Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
* Assist in case preparation, including gathering and organizing evidence, conducting discovery, and interviewing clients and witnesses.
* Attend court proceedings, hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings as required.
* Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders.
* Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients.
* Assist with client intake and case management.
* Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and solutions.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Juris Doctor (J.
D.
) degree from an accredited law school.
* Admission to the Bar in Maine or eligible for admission by waiver.
* 1-3 years of experience in a law firm or similar legal environment.
* Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, ethics, and client service.
* Proficiency in legal research tools and technology.
