At the Recuperative Care Program, Preble Street works in partnership with Greater Portland Health and Maine Medical Center in an innovative program that provides medical services and social services to people experiencing homelessness who have been discharged from hospital care, offering a safe, supportive environment in which to recover in a 15-bed, 24-hour trauma-informed care facility.
Preble Street is seeking a Supervisor to lead and support the team and programming of the Recuperative Care Program (RCP).
As a member of the RCP management team, the RCP Supervisor will manage the day-to-day, 2nd shift program activities, lead and participate in direct services to clients, directly supervise the casework team, and work collaboratively and cooperatively with RCP partners.
This is a full-time, 2nd shift position with two schedule options: *Sunday - Thursday OR Tuesday- Saturday, 3:00pm-11:00pm*
*QUALIFICATIONS*
Qualifications include a degree in social work or a related field, with 3 to 5 years supervisor experience, or a comparable combination of education, training, and work experience.
Experience working with people experiencing homelessness and mental health and substance use disorders are also required qualifications.
Additional requirements include the ability to lead, supervisor, and direct the work of direct service staff; strong communication, de-escalation, and crisis intervention skills; ability to work with and maintain professional boundaries with diverse populations; understanding of and alignment with Preble Street’s mission; and commitment to providing low-barrier, high-quality services with a trauma-informed, harm-reduction approach.
COVID-19 vaccination status is required to be up-to-date upon hire and to maintain up-to-date vaccination status for the duration of employment.
*COMPENSATION & BENEFITS*
The hourly rate of pay for this full-time (40 hours/week) position is $26.
97 per hour, with the overnight shift differential of $2.
