Medical Assistant (MA) Clinical Educator

Position Summary The MA Clinical Staff Educator position assists in the coordination of MaineHealth staff education and professional development needs.
This role works closely with clinical staff and management team to demonstrate best practice and achieve evidenced based patient outcomes.
Providing continuous support to the managers and staff in the area of clinical practice, professional development, and patient satisfaction is essential.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: Graduate of an accredited program with an Associate’s degree.
License/Certifications: RMC, CMA, CCMA.
Current BLS certification.
Experience: Medical Assistant with five years’ experience in a multi-physician practice.
Understand current literature and assist with failure mode and effects analysis as well as root cause analysis in improving practice and patient care systems.
Ability to deliver education via many routes to effectively assist staff in understanding and comprehension.
Effective project management and time management skills.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to effectively interact with all levels of administration and health care team.
Ability to facilitate teams with effective group presentation skills.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Proficient computer skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
