*Job Summary *
We are currently hiring a qualified candidate for a full-time BOOKKEEPER position as part of our finance and operations team.
This position plays a vital role in ensuring compliance with financial regulations, providing timely and accurate financial reports, and supporting the organization's overall financial health.

*Job Responsibilities*
1.
Financial Record Keeping:
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, expense reports, and bank reconciliations
* Classify and code financial transactions appropriately to ensure accurate tracking of income and expenses
2.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
* Process invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner
* Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable
3.
Financial Reporting:
* Prepare regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
* Provide financial analysis to support decision-making by management
4.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
* Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecast
* Monitor actual performance against the budget and provide explanations for variances
5.
Financial Compliance:
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements
* Support audits and financial reviews as necessary
* Prepare and file Maine Sales Tax reports
6.
Financial Communication:
* Work collaboratively with other team members to provide financial information and support decision-making
* Ensure confidentiality and integrity of highly sensitive data
* Help the team move toward the goal of maximizing efficiency
*Mandatory Skills*
* Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
* Strong ethics and comfort in handling confidential financial information
* Solid analytical mind with an eye towards proactive problem-solving
*Required Qualifications*
* College Degree
* Proven experience (3+ years) in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably in a non-profit environment
* Deep Knowledge of QuickBooks, and proficiency in GoogleSuite and MicrosoftExcel
* Experience analyzing financial statements and working with staff to streamline accounting processes and needs
* Impeccable references
*Additional Preferred Qualifications*
* Alignment with REVERB’s mission and values
* Knowledge of BaseCamp platform
* Experience with non-profit accounting, compliance regulations and 990 filings
