Job Summary Description :
Responsible for financial controls of assigned properties that contribute to the profitability of the business, maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting, ensuring acceptable levels of internal control and compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, and safeguarding owners/investors assets.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Develop and maintain consistent monthly financial reporting to ensure accuracy and prevent loss, waste, or misinterpretation.
Ensure that all general ledger accounts are reconciled monthly for assigned properties.
Communicate guidelines for proper chart of accounts application at the properties to enable proper spreading of expenses/invoices.
Provide accurate financial data to assist and advise management in maintaining the organization’s financial objectives.
Support corporate decision-making through analysis.
Manage cash flows to meet short-term needs and minimize loss or risk.
Checking bank balances and reconciling in M3 daily and working with bank personnel to transfer funds between accounts as needed.
Assist Financial Controller in the budget process at year-end.
Forecast fixed expenses and fixed/minimally variable revenue streams for cash management purposes on an as needed basis.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures along with state, federal, and local laws, and regulations as they pertain to every facet of accounting.
Oversees the accounts payable process to ensure timely payment of bills and the appropriate allocation of expenses.
Assist bookkeepers with reviewing and posting bills on an as-needed basis.
Manage relationships with general managers for assigned properties.
Maintain organization of all vital records for bills, bank statements, monthly revenue information, etc.

Responsible for training and onboarding of new bookkeepers.
Aids with reconciliations and process improvement related issues to the bookkeepers as needed.
Assists the Human Resources Director with running payroll bi-weekly, as well as posting the payroll journal entry in M3.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in the United States of America
Must be at least 18 years of age
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred
Strong analytical skills
Must be able to meet deadlines
Should have 3 years minimum experience working with bookkeeping/financial record keeping, preferably within the hospitality industry
Proficiency with all MS Office programs, particularly Excel
Proficient with M3 Accounting Core and Insight software
Resourceful, finding answers or finding the person who can provide answers
Flexible - using different reporting methods to derive similar/comparable information
Highly organized, multi-tasker
Critical thinker: ability to see beyond actions to their potential ramifications/implications
Abilities Required
Looking at a computer screen for long periods of time
Repetitive motions such as typing on a computer keyboard and calculator
Twisting, bending, reaching for filing purposes
Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds
Sitting for long periods of time
Manually handle/lift/carry product up to 25 pounds between knee and shoulders.
Must have bilateral fine manipulation of both hands which may be repetitive throughout shift.
