As the only commercial biodiesel manufacturer in the state of Maine, our company aims to lower the carbon footprint of our state by reducing emissions, lowering the use of traditional chemicals, and recycling waste such as used cooking oil.

in 2007, Maine Standard Biofuels is rapidly growing and is seeking an addition to our team in a new position as a sales & service representative.
*Summary: *To create meaningful relationships with sustainability partners (restaurant industry), seek new opportunities, and provide support to existing customers, clients, and vendors.
*Duties and Responsibilities* include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
* Account management; existing customers and newly identified partners.
* Outside sales, including in-person visits to prospects and existing accounts.
* Introduction of our biobased product lines.
* Database management; including entering all new prospects daily.
* Identifying new customers and following through with their lead; expanding our restaurant network.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
*Notes: *As the demand for renewable fuel grows, we need to collect more feedstock (used cooking oil) to reach sustainability requirements.
The best way we can do this is through restaurant partnerships.
This job will be independent in nature, but daily updates are required.
You will be under the supervision of your sales manager.
Your territory will be southern Maine and New Hampshire and as time goes on, you may be asked to travel outside of this area.

*Education/Experience:*
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Prior sales experience with a preference for those previously selling to the restaurant industry.
A valid driver’s license.
Must be familiar with Excel and Word.
A solid understanding of database software.
Familiarity with social media marketing.
Organizational skills and motivation.
*Salary Range: *Compensation is tailored to the individual (starting at base salary of $50,000/year), performance-based bonus / commissions.
